The Founders of the Church 

Rev. Emily Tan, is the Senior Pastor & Founder of the Sembawang Assembly of God Church while Pastor David Tan, her husband, is the co-founder.

 Rev. Emily Tan, who is a D. Min. candidate, is the Vice Principal of Assembly of God Bible College and a dedicated lecturer there. Presently, she concentrates more on her church growth.  

 Pastor David’s message

After my earlier retirement from teaching profession in 2009, I took over the responsibility to head the English Department in September last year. I began to pray & ask God to use me to enlarge the English Department into an English church.

This April, I encouraged members to put into practice the secret of church growth of Dr, Cho Yonggi’s church (the largest church in the world), i.e., PRAYER, PRAYER AND PRAYER! I MOTIVATE them to commit themselves to pray daily for church’s growth & prayer-walking in their respective neighborhood. After a month, I launched the “Intercession Warriors”.

Recently, I have been praying & fasting (partial fast) for some weeks, asking God :

i)                    For His anointing & spiritual gifts

ii)                   To instill faith in members’ heart to believe in signs & wonders

iii)                 For new converts from all walks of life, including professionals & businessmen & women

iv)                 To provide us committed leaders.

To be God’s servant to build His church & extend His Kingdom is an honour & privilege. Are YOU one of them out there, praying for God’s direction where to serve?
